The 1st Annual Hunger Games

The rebellion against the Capitol has been crushed, the citizens and
community of what was once known as District 13 have been obliterated.
And in retribution for their roles in the rebellion, and to remind them
that for every citizen killed in the capitol, two more were killed,
two children from each district between the ages of twelve and
eighteen will be selected to participate in an annual Hunger Games,
where they will fight to the death for the honor and glory of the Capitol.
